Transport in Multi-Dimensional Random Schrödinger Operators

Abstract

Random Schrödinger operators are a topic of common interest in Mathematical Physics that connects to both Functional Analysis and Probability theory. It is believed in Physics that these operators possess a spectral regime with localised states, which do not contribute to electrical transport, and another regime with delocalised or electrically conducting states. While the first regime is understood well in mathematical terms, it is a major challenge for analysts to shed light on the delocalised phase. It is only very recently that some results have been obtained on electrical transport described by random Schrödinger operators. The meeting gathered nearly all main protagonists involved in recent advances in the theory of random Schrödinger operators and provided a forum for intensive discussion.
