dc.description.abstractThis Arbeitsgemeinschaft focused on the interplay among rational homotopy theory, differential geometry and the physics of string topology. The talks centered on one hand on how geometry and string topology make use of rational homotopy methods, elicit new questions in rational homotopy and lead to the development of new rational homotopy structures reflecting their Natures; and on the other hand on how rational homotopy theory has given concrete results in geometry.
